What is particular about Dudley
Dudley's term dates are proposed jointly with neighbouring West Midlands authorities, including Birmingham, Sandwell, Staffordshire, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire, so families across borders share the same holidays.
The proposed dates are ratified at a meeting between the local Joint Consultative Committee of unions and the local authority.
The council plans term dates as much as four years ahead of the current year.
