Headteachers, in consultation with staff, decide when, where and how non-teaching days are planned, and each school tells parents when it is closed to pupils.
The 2026-27 year ends early, on Friday 16 July 2027, and schools re-open on Monday 6 September 2027.
After the 2027-28 year schools re-open on Monday 4 September 2028.
