Hull schools go back on Monday 7 September 2026 and the 2026-27 school year ends on Monday 26 July 2027, according to the calendar published by Hull City Council. October half term is 26 to 30 October 2026. Christmas holidays run from 21 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, with pupils back on Monday 4 January 2027. February half term is 8 to 12 February 2027. The Easter holidays cover 22 March to 2 April 2027, taking in Good Friday and Easter Monday. May half term is 31 May to 4 June 2027. The summer holidays start on Tuesday 27 July 2027. That leaves 195 weekdays in school after bank holidays. The 2027-28 calendar is already published: school starts on Monday 6 September 2027 and the October break is 25 to 29 October 2027. The 2026-27 year starts later than in many areas, on Monday 7 September 2026.
In 2026-27 the February half term comes early, from Monday 8 to Friday 12 February 2027, and the Easter holiday runs from Monday 22 March to Friday 2 April 2027.
Schools close for the summer on Monday 26 July 2027, a Monday, at the end of 2026-27.
After Christmas 2027 schools reopen on Wednesday 5 January 2028.
In 2028 the Easter holiday runs from Monday 10 April to Friday 21 April, and the 2027-28 year ends on Wednesday 26 July 2028.
